During my weekend trip to Orlando, I stayed at the Marriott Orlando Downtown. Overall, I enjoyed my stay!
The Marriott Orlando Downtown is very modern, trendy, and stylish. It has an atmosphere that really fits my vibe. The inside of the hotel is beautiful and clean.
I stayed in a “Traditional, Guest room, 2 Queen”. The room had plenty of space, I did not feel too crammed. I enjoyed the wood floors and sleek finishes. My favorite part of my room was the chase beside the window that overlooked the Downtown Orlando skyline. Aside from that, the room had plenty of outlets, and everything about the room’s bathroom was on point. The lighting was A1. The shower was phenomenal, with amazing shower pressure, and 2 shower heads. The room came equipped with coffee, tea, an ice bucket, and just about everything your typical hotel comes with!

The lobby is truly what I think makes this hotel special. It is decorated to perfection. The ceiling of the hotel is glass so there is plenty of natural light. There is also a beautiful staircase, an interactive digital screen, and tons of seating. One cool thing to note about the lobby that I definitely took advantage of is the à la carte food & drink area. The Marriott Orlando Downtown has a very nice food & drink selection in the lobby that you can charge items to your room and take to go. This came in handy to me, because I knew I wasn’t going to go hungry or thirsty. If to-go is not what you are looking for though, do not worry, because there is also a restaurant and bar in the lobby called Shade Bar and Grill. Every evening when I went downstairs, this place seemed very steady and appeared to be a cool spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat.
The hotel has a pool, located on the second floor. The pool is very nice and open, with a great breeze and a pretty view of the Downtown skyline. Although I didn’t “work out,” the hotel’s fitness center is very nice and large. It seemed clean and had everything you really need in a gym. On the second floor, there is also a large outdoor seating area that you can take advantage of. Though it was way to hot to be out there during the day, I’d imagine this spot is perfect during the evenings and night.
One odd thing to address is the parking situation at Marriott Orlando Downtown. The hotel does offer valet parking for $28 a night. However, you can park yourself in the parking lot right beside the building using the Park Mobile app. If you park this way, the price caps at $20 for 24 hours, so this is the more affordable option. I parked my car myself in the side lot, and I’d definitely recommend doing that for anybody staying at the hotel.
Another thing to address about the hotel is that it was warm everywhere, in the hallways, in the elevators, in the lobby, and in my room. I’m not sure if the air conditioning was just temporarily down while I was visiting or if it is usually pretty warm, but it made for a little bit of a sweaty stay, considering it was about 100 degrees outside.
Lastly, the location of this hotel is great. It was easy to get to and from. You can also easily walk to different bars and restaurants. I walked to Elixir for brunch while I was there are it was a good time!
All in all, I had a great stay at Marriott Orlando Downtown. I look forward to visiting again!
