Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is an absolute dream! I visited for the first time in April 2021, and everything was extraordinary, from the flowers, to the exquisite room set ups!

Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is a green oasis in the middle of Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood, minutes from downtown. It sits on 15 acres and the glasshouse encompasses 14 rooms with 23 gardens.

Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens dates back to 1893. It is considered a City of Pittsburgh historic landmark, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. I could not believe how old and rich in history this place is!

To enter Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, it costs about $20 per adult, $18 for seniors and students, and $12 for children (purchase tickets here). This price is totally worth it! Guided tours are available, but we chose to explore the area without a tour guide. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get though all of the gardens. I enjoyed it because we were able to go at our own pace and take our time.

I really loved how the gardens flowed indoors and outdoors. I saw flowers and plants that I’ve never seen before. I was swoon by all the colors and themes. Everything was so lush, rich, and beautiful. Each room has a totally different look than the next. It is such a fun place to visit, relax your mind, inspire your creativity, refresh in the scene of nature, and even take photos!

The exhibits change from time to time, so those who return or visit at a later date will experience a whole new look but with the same lush greenery and botanicals.

If you’ve never been to Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, I definitely recommend checking it out – You will not regret it!
