During my recent visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh & I absolutely loved it!
My favorite part of the hotel was its convenient location. Located right in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh, it was a safe and easy walk to just about everything I wanted to see. During my stay, I walked to Market Square, the North Shore, Point State Park, & PPG Place without any problems.
I fell in love with the hotel’s decor. From the moment I walked in, I was swept away by the lobby with high ceilings, beautiful flooring, and a super lush leafy chandelier-like piece dangling in the air.
The hotel also has a social sitting area on the second floor with a fire place and quite a few adorable chairs and couches. Right behind that is an entryway to meeting rooms, and on the other side of the 2nd floor were the ballrooms and foyer in which truly took my breath away due to its beauty.
The hotel also offers a gym, which was unfortunately closed during my visit because of COVID-19 precautions, and two restaurants! The Commoner is just steps below the first floor in the lobby and currently offers room service dining until 9pm. The Biergarten is located on the hotel’s rooftop and offers beautiful views of the city! It was closed because of the wintertime snow taking up all the space but I feel confident that it would be a great place to hang out during the warmer months when open.

My room was so cute and clean. Again with the stunning decor, the rooms have a large green upholstered headboard, a birdcage lamp, patterned curtains & vintage looking wall decorations. The bathroom is the most beautiful with patterned wallpaper and a nice large glass shower. I stayed in a King Room, so the room came with 1 king-sized bed and a ton of space.
The closet comes equipped with everything you need and more. In there is a safe, iron & iron board, hangers, an umbrella, yoga mat, and luggage stand. The room also comes with a flatscreen TV and a decent sized mini-fridge.
For those of you who are like me, and love to have your photos spontaneously snapped, this place is your dream hotel. There are so many “instagramable” spots around the hotel, from the birdcage wall on the 2nd floor to the adorable yellow couch in the social area.
I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel to my friends & family and would love to visit again. Kimpton also has many other locations throughout North America, Europe, The Caribbean & Asia Pacific in which I can’t wait to check out for future trips!
