Waterfront Hotel In The Heart Of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico | Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel

The Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel was the cherry on top of my amazing visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Here are the many reasons why Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel is the perfect lodging for your next trip to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico…

To start, the location of this hotel is unbeatable. It is located on the waterfront, just steps from cruise ships and boats. The Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel is also right among the amazing shopping, dining and entertainment that Old San Juan has to offer. There is even a coffee/wine spot and a CVS connected to the building, so convenience when it comes to location is no issue. It was easy to walk to and from everything we wanted to do in Old San Juan, and I felt safe walking in the area even at night.

The next aspect of the hotel that I really loved was the friendliness of the staff. They were extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. They have a great team to welcome and assist you out front of the building and the workers at the front desk were great as well. They allowed us to check in early and upon checking in, they gave us a printed list of restaurants and bars that they recommend, and even wrote down a couple more and stared the ones they thought I’d like best based off our conversation. I really appreciated that! The Housekeeping and restaurant staff were also very great and helpful to speak with!

The hotel itself is so incredibly beautiful. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the hotel’s grande staircase. It is stately and sweeping, and makes the perfect photo opp. The rest of the lobby is also really cute, with a nice little sitting area which has really pretty couches, art work, and decor. It is both homey and luxurious.

Our room was fabulous, we stayed in a suite, room 415. It was located on the 4th floor and was nice and large. This particular room had a sitting area that you first enter into, with a couch, a chair, some lamps, a coffee table, TV, shelf, and a mini fridge. That room was then connected to the bedroom which could close off if you’d like, that had two beds, a chair, a large desk, TV, coffee maker, water, etc. Right around the corner was a closet with all your hotel essentials (safe, iron, etc), a full length mirror, and then the bathroom which had amazing lighting. The room had large windows so it was filled with natural light, although we were on the back of the building, so our view was of the parking garage, but it’s all good!

Speaking of parking garages, the garage is conveniently located to the building. It’s right around the corner from the hotel entrance. The hotel gave us a voucher so that once you park, you are able to take your car in and out as many times as you’d like. You pay the parking attendant in the lobby of the garage $9 the first time you move it, and then you’re good for the rest of the day.

Finally, saving the best for last, my favorite part of this hotel (aside from it’s amazing location) was the hotel’s amenities. The pool is located on the 9th floor. It is located outdoors and also has a hot tub. The area overlooks the city and the water below and is quite a beautiful view. Also on the 9th floor is the fitness center. It was very clean and had everything you need, from cardio equipment, to free weights, benches, exercise balls, and more!

Breakfast is also served at the hotel in the mornings from 6:30am – 10:30 / 11:00am at the restaurant located on the 2nd floor, Palio. They had everything from oatmeal, cereal, pastries, fruit, sausage, bacon, eggs, waffles, etc. It was amazing and delicious. They served it for you and then someone comes around for your drinks. The facility was very pretty and spread out, they even had seating outside.

I had an amazing experience at The Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel with its clean and beautiful building and amenities, friendly staff, and perfect location. I definitely recommend it if you are looking to stay in the Old San Juan area!
